Festival Miden screenings at “Planet Bicycle” exhibition, Athens

The photographic exhibition “Planet Bicycle” which was first presented last August at the old patisserie “Zacharoplastio” in Kardamili, Mani, now travels to Athens.

As in Kardamili, “Planet Bicycle” cooperates with Festival Miden presenting «LOL» and “Monobalance” (two screening programs from the 2011 edition of the festival) during the whole duration of the exhibition, from February 24 to March 18, 2012.

Προβολές του Festival Μηδέν στην έκθεση "Πλανήτης Ποδήλατο" στην Αθήνα

Η φωτογραφική έκθεση “Πλανήτης Ποδήλατο” που πρωτοπαρασουσιάστηκε τον περασμένο Αύγουστο στο παλιό Ζαχαροπλαστείο Καρδαμύλης Μάνης, ταξιδεύει στην Αθήνα.

Όπως και στην Καρδαμύλη, θα παρουσιαστούν κι εδώ οι ενότητες του Festival Μηδέν «LOL» και “Monobalance”. Οι προβολές των ενοτήτων θα γίνονται καθ' όλη τη διάρκεια της έκθεσης, από την Παρασκευή 24 Φεβρουαρίου έως τις 18 Μαρτίου.

In questa quinta rassegna VIDEOART-CONTAMINAZIONI continua a caratterizzarsi per la proposta di video dai contenuti e stili più disparati, come specchio della nostra complessa realtà contemporanea.

Dopo le avanguardie storiche, le esperienze del secondo dopoguerra, con le neo-avanguardie, dopo  happening, performance, installazioni, land art, body art, arte povera, le installazioni audio visive di Nam June Paik e Wolf Wostell esponenti del gruppo Fluxus, stiamo oggi vivendo in pieno una nuova, profonda metamorfosi nel campo delle arti in genere e dei nuovi media in particolare.

La classificazione in arte astratta o figurativa perde logicamente ogni significato e rimane una concezione obsoleta riferita al prodotto estetico. Le nuove tecnologie applicate all’espressione artistica hanno creato inedite sintesi espressive che vanno ben oltre vecchie ed inutili distinzioni. Siamo nel pieno sviluppo di un’arte multimediale dove la videoart sembra svolgere un ruolo di sintesi, collegandosi, facendo da collante e interagendo con i protagonisti delle più varie discipline.

FONLAD, in its 8th edition aims to celebrate Nam June Paik, Vito Acconci and Bruce Numan, proposing as global theme "Performing Acts". It seeks to present a body of work that has at its core the record of performances (artistic or not), the body in its many cultural meanings and poses, the registration of events / actions, works that have as a theme or center, the body, he’s move(s), desire(s), anxietie(s), either in the form of video art, video performances, photography or web art.
